What was the highlight of The Royal Sands Resort & Spa
I will recommend the Royal Sands Resort and Spa to all my family and friends.
I loved the unlimited food, drinks and the facilities - pool, beach, beach chairs, pool bar & volleyball etc.
The bed and pillows are not comfortable. I also didn't like that we have to move rooms one day before our departure. That's very inconvenient.

What was the highlight of The Royal Sands Resort & Spa
Good
The Royal Sands is a vacation club that also sells all-inclusive vacations via travel sites, Chase card member offers, etc. Royal Sands advertises access to 6 restaurants in the all-inclusive package. However, vacation members get access to make reservations 3 days in advance, while anyone else who buys an all-inclusive only gets access on the day to try to make a reservation. If you can even get a reservation, it will be at 9:30pm. The shuttles to the other Royal resorts (where the Italian restaurant is located, and vice versa for the other resort guests to access Royal Sands restaurants) run every 2 hours, so you can arrive almost 2 hours early, depending on your reservation time. Then wait until 11pm to board a shuttle to get back to your resort. The Royal Resort group should be required to be transparent that they will sell you an inclusive vacation, but you do not get equal access to make a reservation for 3 of the restaurants. The food is very good at all the restaurants and there are a lot of options on each menu. Hopefully they can update their policies or be transparent to the non-vacation club members that they obviously need to keep their business afloat. Also, it’s quite odd, but you are required to wear an all-inclusive bracelet, but they require you to turn in your room key when ordering drinks at the pool, at the buffet breakfast, and at any other restaurant or bar. They keep the key and if you are at the pool for 6 hours, your room key is in the wait staff's possession with your giving them your room number. They don’t take a swipe and return it, they keep it. I understand if you are a vacation club member that is charging for drinks and food for your room, but not for all-inclusive guests. Or if you request a premium drink or food item, it is requested, but not every time you order something. Very odd and inconvenient. The resort is very clean and staff are always working at maintaining the property. The staff is very friendly.
